Scholastic Coming-of-Age Classics

I believe that many of these selections are taught at the middle school, but I thought there might be one or two which might be different. I was particularly interested in I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

This is nice list with a short annotation for each title. Some of these are already in the SB curriculum at the middle and high school level, but it is a comprehensive list with some interesting suggestions.
